PayPal is an easy to use payment processor. With an account you can send and receive money by email. More interesting is that you can use the PayPal wizard to create buttons to sell products. They even have a shopping-cart wizard, where visitors can store selected items until they decide to pay, of course payment through PayPal. Signing up is easy and free. Actually they pay you 5$ when you do. So, here's the link to get your PayPal Account. PayPal (Europe) Ltd is a private limited company incorporated in England. PayPal Inc. (which is a parent company of PayPal (Europe) Ltd) was acquired by eBay in October 2002, and is located in California, USA. PayPal is the 2002 SIIA Codie Awards winner for "Best eCommerce Solution" and is recognized by PC Magazine as one of "The Top 100 Web Sites." With over 40 million accounts in 38 countries worldwide, PayPal is the world's largest online payment solution. You don't need extra software or hardware to set up PayPal payments. Once you are logged in at their site, just click the tab Merchant Tools and make the appropriate selection. You can even select a monthly recurring donation function. Their wizards, that you have to provide with relevant product information, generate HTML-code that you have to insert into your pages. You've got to get familiar whit that, but it's quite easy and there's a lot of help available at their site. Take some time to study them. It's well worth it. You have to be cautious when using this HTML-code. The links generated by the wizards that are to be send to PayPal are very well know by thousands of users. They contain the product price and the thank-you (download) page after payment is done. You can read that info when you move your mouse over the link. And then it's easy to skip the click, copy the URL of your thank-you page and download your products without paying. So, either send them an email after successful payment or use IPN (Instant Payment Notification). You can find that in the Merchant Tools section too. It's a bit complicated, but there's a lot of help available. This and their low transaction fees (2.2%-2.9% + $0.30 USD) make PayPal more affordable than other merchant accounts and that's why people starting on the Net, especially with a low budget, use them so often. Also experienced marketers use them as an alternative online payment solution. So, a PayPal account is easy to set up, easy to use and very inexpensive.
