Meet Case Stevens, owner of An Own Site
Hi, I'm Case Stevens. I'm the owner of this site.I'm on the Internet since 1998. I started as a 'browser', but in 1999 I put up my first website. It was a B2B site selling garden pottery, running on a free host. I managed to sign up over 6,000 subscribers within a year. After that I successfully sold that site!
But let's start at the beginning .....
I started my computer career long time ago as a programmer.
I've worked 15 years for a software house, a company with highly trained employees that are send out to clients to help them develop automated information systems running on BIG computers.
During this period I made a career from programmer to vice-president. I've developped many automated system, was head of the Education Department (I've teached thousands of people how to automate), became a manager and finally ended up in the Board of Directors.
In 1989 I decided to leave the software branche. I sold my shares in the company, made a lot of money and stepped into small scale real estate development financed with my own cash. I also did some trade too setting up joint-ventures.
But I never lost my interest for PC's, also because many people knew my background and called for help. In the late nineties I became very interested in the possibilities of the Internet. I cut my activities in other business (although I'm still in real estate and trade) and went to the Inernet.
So I developed many sites for others and made several ones for myself. I studied direct marketing and tested many marketing strategies. I've used lots of tools, many of which I was able to install and improve myself, thanks to my background.
And now I'm here to share my experiences and know how with you.
That is what AnOwnSite.com is all about.
