free webpage template - put your logo here and adjust width and height
free webpage templateThis is the first of two tables. It is included to put your most important lines in here, so it will load fast! I've made them visible for you (border=1, so you can see how the page is built up. Change 1 to 0 (zero) in the BORDER variable of the TABLE tag to delete the borders or use any greater value to increase border size. Replace the links in the navigation section. If you need more of them, just copy (Ctrl+C) and paste (Ctrl+V) them. If you use this template, please link back to An Own Site. Here's the second table of this page for the rest of the text. You can vary the width of the tables using the variable WIDTHIn order to have the navigation part at the left, I've created a table with two rows and two columns. The first column in the first row is empty! Its height is set to 1 just to minimize the cell. You can see it right on top of the navigation, because I've set the table-border to 1. Change that into zero and you won't even notice. Now here's the trick: the second column in the first row has an extra attribute: rowspan=2!! This means that this cell is combined with the second column in the second row. So, your body text comes right after the empty cell described above. Check it out. Look at the source of this page. You'll see this text BEFORE the navigation items! Finally, the first column of the second row contains the navigation. It comes AFTER your body text. Guess what? There is NO second column in the second row! It was combined with the first one, remember? That's how you can create search engine friendly pages. I want to give you a free webpage template that will be search engine friendly. Why? Well, I assume you want your webpage to come up as high as possible in search engines because that generates free traffic.
