Timeless There is a prevalence of filtering software used to stem the flow of spam on the Net. The problem, as we all know, is that sometimes the filters are a little too diligent in their duties, culling the good along with the bad. That's why more and more € or X or O show up in words in newsletters. Net result? E-mail that your customers want to receive, and that is critical to your business, gets trashed by your customers' ISP or mail service. However, don't be discouraged by this news. Most ISPs and mail services will allow you to "whitelist" the e-mail addresses of the people/companies you wish to hear from, keeping that mail out of the "junk" folder. So... simply encourage your customers to whitelist your business. Read the following. How to Make Sure You Get our Mail Increasingly, ISPs are using filtering systems to try and keep Spam out of customers' inboxes. Sometimes, they accidentally filter the e-mail that you want to receive. To make sure that the AOS Journal and other AnOwnSite.com e-mails are not filtered into your "junk" or "bulk" folder, please add AnOwnSite to your list of trusted senders. Here's how: Hotmail: Place the domain anownsite.com in your safe list. The safe list can be accessed via the "Options" link next to the main menu tabs. AOL: Place the domain anownsite.com in your address book. Yahoo! Mail: If one of our e-zines is filtered to your 'bulk' folder, open the message and click on the "this is not Spam" link next to the "From" field. Other providers: If one of your e-mails is being filtered, try adding our domain anownsite.com or our newsletter's ´From´ or ´Reply-to´ address to your address book or contact list. If this option is not available, try moving the message to your ´inbox´ or forwarding the message to yourself. If subsequent messages continue to be filtered, call or e-mail your ISP's tech support and specifically ask how you can be sure to receive all e-mail from anownsite.com. Follow their instructions for whitelisting anownsite.com. It's a shame to bother you like this, but in this day and age, we feel like the dolphin caught in the tuna-spam net. We support fully the anti-spam measures of all mail servers and ISPs. But please do make sure that your mail server or ISP is not accidentally keeping AnOwnSite information from you. Sorry for the inconvenience, but these circumstances are beyond our control. All we can do is work together with the ISPs to shut out the spammers. Thank you for whitelisting me. That's it for today.
