It happened when I gave away a valuable free ebook to all subscribers on my list.

But quite a few responded, that it was IM-possible to create a good product in just a couple of days! That
got me upset.
Maybe I forgot how many new subscribers I had on my list. 
Anyway, it's sheer nonsense.
Because you CAN create a product in a couple of days.
Sometimes even in a matter of hours.

How To Create Digital Products
Since we're all in the information business, let's talk about digital products only.They have many advantages:
- They can be created fast.
- Expenses are very low, if any.
- They can be delivered electronically.
- No storage, no handling, no shipping.
- Receive payment first, then deliver.
- Outsourcing.
Just go over to one of these sites like elance or rentacoder and post a project to create a product.
This solution will save you the 'daunting' work of research and writing, but you'll have to make very clear what you exactly want and you have to check the results thoroughly. You wouldn't be the first victim of copy fraud!
I don't recommend this option if you're starting out. - Buy Private Label Rights (PLR) Products.
Basically what you're doing here is buy a ready-to-go product that you are allowed to change and even, depending on the conditions, put your name under it.
Like resell right products, you have to be careful with this, so that you don't buy any 'old and worn' products or those that are sold by everybody.
This can be a great option though. I've bought many of these that I improved and sold successfully. - Create your own products.
Just think about the things YOU know that would be interesting to others.
Create an outline or even a bullet list. Anyone can type on a PC using a word-processor! Leave it alone for a while and then pick it up again to improve it and put the dots on the i's.
Then convert it into a pdf file (also called adobe product) and voila... you have a product.
You're skipping a few steps, so this is a very fast way to make great products really fast.
But creating your own products doesn't have to take much more of your time!
Take my resource file for instance (if you haven't done so, download it, there are tons of great resources in there!).
How much time do you think it took me to create this one? Just 2 hours! One to assemble the resources and one hour to put it in a neat file with a nice lay-out!
I use Open Office to create my digital information products, because it has an option to convert the files into pdf files immediately (readable by both PC and Mac's!)
This resource file is part of a bigger product called Simple Business Site, an ebook that shows a detailed plan to create a simple business site in just two weeks with almost no expenses.
To create a product like this takes more time, but that's only because:
a) it takes time to write your knowledge down and
b) you want it to be as clear as possible for newbies.
So you put it away a few times and pick it up again to change the flow and to make it a better read. Having it read by your partner or friends will help a lot doing so.
Another example!
While selling my products I noticed a lot of people, certainly in other niches than Internet marketing, do NOT know how to download the digital products.
Yes, they CAN click the download link to get it going, but they're lost afterwards. So I created a simple video. Using free software!
It took me a couple of hours to experiment with the software, but once I got the hang of it, the video was created within an hour! See it in action here.
Now, while this video is just a support item, you could also create a similar one with valuable information. Only recently I bought a report on how to create lenses on Squidoo and it came with a few short videos. Very useful!

Here's a great tip! Once you have an idea for your own product, close the doors, take the phone off the hook, stop checking your email every ten minutes, don't post to forums and so on.
Just focus on creating your product.
Your time is valuable, use it well!

Then try starting out with some Private Label Products? How about 60 PLR products?
You don't have to like them all. If only five of them appeal to you, then you have a winner already.
