Affiliate Marketing is the easiest way to start earning money
online.
That is an answer to the many questions I received from new subscribers about
making online money.
Affiliate marketing is so easy, because you don't need a product and you don't
need to deliver it, you don't need a payment processor and you don't have to
deal with support issues. That is all done by the merchant for whom
you are an affiliate.
All YOU do is promote their product and if a sales is made, cash the
commission. I mean, how difficult can that be?
Well, I see so many affiliates making the same mistake over and over again.
So here's how to do affiliate marketing the right way.

Affiliate marketing is quite easy actually. All you do is find a product that solves a problem within your niche and promote that product.Many affiliates make the big mistake of setting up an advertising campaign for the product they've selected and send the visitors directly to the merchant's website.
Although that may bring in (some or sometimes big) money, all you basically do this way is pay the merchant's promotion campaign.
Affiliate marketing can be so much better IF.... you capture the visitor's email address first. Because THEN you can contact her more often! Even with other products, after all, you already KNOW what she's interested in ... your niche topic!
All this strategy takes is a some extra effort to create an email capture page and to set up an email follow up series.
Here are the steps you have to take:
- decide your niche
- find great affiliate products
- set up one page to capture email addresses
- create an autoresponder follow up series
- promote your page
The core of this affiliate marketing system is a professional email follow
up service (also called autoresponder).
You should definitely avoid a free one, as they are not reliable and you are
not allowed to import your subscribers into a professional service later on.
Hosting
your own email follow up system is a burden if you ask me. Not only technically,
but especially because of all the (spam) filters you have to pass and avoid
to get your email messages delivered.
Let those issues be handled by real pro's!
I strongly recommend using Aweber for
this at only $19 a month. All it takes is one or two sales and your professional
service is paid for!
In affiliate marketing, as well in every other step you take online, you first
have to decide in which niche you want to operate. I can't do that for you,
because it depends on your knowledge, your passions and the amount of information
you have or can get.
To find a niche, just go over to Ebay, Amazon or Yahoo Shopping, see what's
hot and if you feel comfortable with the topic.

Next, you have to find your affiliate products that you will promote.
Start with the Clickbank
Marketplace, read their help and faq pages and then browse the categories.
Other places to look are Commission Junction and Associateprograms.com.
Then you'll need a web page. Actually it's only a page to capture email addresses,
also called squeeze page. If you don't know how to create a decent webpage,
then just subscribe to A
Template A Day. You then will receive .... ah, well, a website template
each day!
All you have to do is write your subscription sales
letter. That is: give your visitors a reason to subscribe (enticing curiosity
headline and a few bullets with great benefits) and add your subscription form.
Maybe
you should also offer a interesting free
report.
Then,
upload the page to your hosting service and you're done!
Until recently
you could easily discover interesting keywords to use in your page at Overture,
but this one seems to be down lately. See my blog Affordable

Now, last element is creating a email follow up series.
You'll need valuable content discussing the topic of your choice.
You can write that yourself. Yes, YOU! You
CAN write!
Describe a common problem or a benefit to make someone's life better and casually
present your affiliate product as the solution.
That's all there is to
it!
Reviews
always are a great topic. That's why I promote RatingsHub so
much. It's a perfect example to pre-sell products by reviewing them. Check
this site. Don't copy any reviews, just watch how it's been done and apply
the same style to your writings. (TIP: You can also use this site to search
for great products!)
Still, if you aren't comfortable, or if you're stuck, Private
Label Rights (PLR) may be a solution. You can buy these articles, written
by someone else, and you can change and use them as your own (read the conditions
carefully!).
You SHOULD change at least 30% of the text of PLR articles to avoid duplication
problems, because they are not only sold to you but also to others. I realize
that will cost you some extra time, but you MUST change them.
I've tested
many article rewriting products but never found a good one. Until ... I discovered
this gem, that allows you to change your articles in a flash: WordFlood.com
They
have a free trial available. Download it and test it!
Here are
some great PLR resources.
One
of the most popular, but fully booked right now, is Nicheology.
You can go there and sign up for their waiting list. They deliver complete
PLR products that you could also use as web content or an autoresponder series.
There
are also many PLR sites. Here's one with a huge
offer. Find out if there's anything you're interested in, buy it, rewrite
and/or mix the content and create your autoresponder series. You could even
create your own product!
If you're in the health and wellness business,
check out Health
Articles.
Each month they issue about 200 excellent health-related articles. Great resource!
And
finally, you can get 100
articles a month on 10 different topics for only $
9.95. They'll even give you 25 for free.
Ok, now create an email
follow up series using your content. Gently weave in your sales pitch. Do not
overdo this. One per message will do, occasionally two and sometimes none.
Remember, you must deliver valuable information!
You can create
a series of 10, 20, 30 or even 50 messages, one send out each week. As you
can see, this will give you many chances to sell the products you're an affiliate
for.
And
THAT'S how affiliate marketing really works.
